An affiliate manager is a person who is responsible for the management of an affiliate program on behalf of an advertiser. Their key responsibilities include:
- recruit new affiliates
- onboard new affiliates
- control the alignment of affiliates and their target audience
- maintain connections with existing affiliates, answer their questions, and tackles issues
- manage payments
- create anchor texts and affiliate links
- provide expertise on content and advertisement to affiliates
- analyze program’s performance constantly, cut relationships with bad-performing affiliates and monitor the newest trends
Affiliate managers work with administration, new affiliates, and existing affiliates. They serve as a link between the company and affiliates and make sure that the so-called partnership is beneficial to all parties.
It is quite impossible to manage big affiliate programs without managers since there are email inquiries to answer, invoices to pay, and analyses to do every day.
