Heading

Heading tags (shorter – the tags from H1 to H6) are the specific tags that help writers and programmers to separate the content into different sections based on their importance. In other words, you can point out the tags that summarize the piece of content written in this section.

The heading is shortly marked as “H” with a priority number next to it. For example, the H1 will contain more important information than H2, and it basically covers the entire article posted below, the so-called “big idea” of the post. H2s will naturally go into more details under the H1, for example, they can point out some types or sorts of something, or introduce points of view the author wants to present, etc. H3s, in turn, will provide readers with even more details of each H2 category, stands for a certain subsection, and so on.

The headings take their start from the HTML page code to form the detailed structure of a page. HTML supports up to 6 header tags (H1-H6 accordingly), and each of them except the H1 tag can be used multiple times (simply put, the H1 is a title of the entire page, that’s why it can’t be repeated).

Headline tags or headings should be used naturally and include the target keywords that were needed to provide a better SEO performance for your pages.
