Hidden Text is the text placed on a web page in such a way that it is impossible or very difficult to read. Such text includes words that are written in too small print, have the same color as the background of the site, or are placed outside the screen using CSS.
Most often, Hidden Text is used by website owners who are trying to trick either their customers or search engine algorithms. For example, in small print at the bottom of an advertisement, there may be specific conditions that are not mentioned in the advertisement itself. Also, Hidden Text can be used when organizing an SEO site. The person who populates the page with keywords may use dishonest methods and deliberately enter popular keywords that have nothing to do with the material on the page.
The end consumer is often unaware that he is being deceived, but Google and other search engines are already taking steps to prevent this situation. For example, some search bots, when analyzing a page, check the color of the text for its difference from the background color. And if no such difference is found, the page rank drops dramatically.
